Amitabh Bachchan Lends Supports

Amitabh Bachchan Lends Supports

Exclusive News By Ashok Anchan

Mumbai: Believe it or not! Whatever challenges keep coming to the Bachchan family, they accept it. Because time and again they have these three golden key words…….determination, discipline and dedication; which have been a part of their success…

First the grandfather…Dr. Harivanshrai Bachchan – the celebrated and leading Hindi poet with a doctorate in English literature… a poet of the people who recited his poems in his rich voice and could hold lakhs of audience spell-bound at all the “Kavi Sammelans” and “Mushairas”…..then the son…. Dr. Amitabh Bachchan – the illustrious actor and the star of the millennium and a great admirer and ardent fan of his father’s simplicity and honesty in whatever he did. A born fighter, who stood tall to fight and overcome all the obstacles that came his way – a winner of millions of hearts…..and the grandson Mr. Abhishek Bachchan…. who like his grandfather and father with his own talent and will power has all the faith to face any trials, tribulations and turmoil. Not to miss out Mrs. Jaya Bachchan whose father, Professor Tarun Kumar Bhaduri was also a journalist by profession.

These are nostalgic memories in brief of the senior Bachchans’ and coming back will surely strike a chord with my thoughts. Philanthropic activities have always been in the Bachchan family. Amitabh Bachchan, the towering personality has always helped members of the fourth estate whenever and however he can. During this corona virus pandemic, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan surprised many of them when he extended financial support especially to freelance journalists.

Time and again Amitabh Bachchan ji has always been a pillar of strength and ready to help the deserving. Even after his personal support towards covid-19 relief reportedly around Rs. 15 crore he extended to help people from the media too.

“It is indeed a blessing in disguise,” said a source who wished not to be named. He further added, “In these tough times with no means of survival and no support from any association or bodies for our communities, it was just like a whiff of fresh air.”
