Microsoft Shows The Way To Unlock Full Potential Of AI For India...

New Delhi, February 25, 2019 Envisioning the potential of AI for India, and continuing in its mission to empower India, Microsoft detailed the country’s readiness for AI in a whitepaper titled ‘Age of Intelligence’.  Focus on making India a digital economy, mobile phone penetration, reduced data costs are all collaborating to make for an environment conducive to extend connectivity and services to the underserved segments of the population, Microsoft said in a whitepaper on AI, unveiled at the NASSCOM Technology and Leadership Forum (NTLF) 2019.

The whitepaper titled ‘Age of Intelligence’ outlines challenges and opportunities with respect to AI and how appropriate government policies, technological advancements including growing internet penetration and connectivity help reap benefits of digital transformation in years to come. Furthermore, Microsoft called for the technology industry to actively partner and engage to help realize India’s aspirations in AI, given that many of the initiatives outlined need technology as the backbone to achieve scale, efficiency and sustainability. Cloud infrastructure and rapid deployment of intelligent cloud services will play a key role in driving AI adoption in the country.

Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India said “Our ambition is to enable a human-centered approach to AI. India is currently at an inflection point in the adoption of AI. Building on the four foundational pillars – enabling digital transformation across industries, forging coalitions for innovation, building a future-ready workforce and creating sustained societal impact will unlock and accelerate the potential of AI. All of this should be done within an over-arching ethical framework for AI development and usage.”

In this paper, Microsoft presents an industry point of view on the ‘age of intelligence’ that this world is embarking upon, wherein intelligence will be experienced in every facet: in products and services, in the way individuals communicate, how organizations function and collaborate, and how society and countries evolve. Microsoft AI is a vision for empowerment – for every developer to innovate, every organization to redefine industries and every individual to transform society.

Developers to innovate

Microsoft is democratizing AI and is making the technology used in building its own AI applications available on Azure to empower developers and institutions in solving their most difficult problems.

For instance, a challenge in India relates to inclusion- given India’s linguistic diversity and literacy. This results in a digital language barrier, with services not being easily accessible to all citizens. AI is playing a key role in removing this barrier, by enabling voice recognition, text to speech and translation for all key Indian languages. Once that is fully available, all services can be offered to all citizens, in the language of their choice. Microsoft is closely working with developers to bring these services to all major Indian languages.

Enterprises to redefine

Enterprises can achieve far more with a comprehensive AI being AI to every application, every business process, and every employee. AI enables organizations to take better-informed decisions by making it easy to derive insights from data, helping them expand customer engagement, optimize operations, and improve offerings. Reimagining business processes with AI also makes work more efficient, saving employees time so they can focus on higher priorities.

Healthcare – Healthcare sector will be transformed through effective use of analytics driven insights decoding the complex data available, which so far remained a significant challenge worldwide. Microsoft has enabled analytics-driven individualized treatment plans based on a patient’s genetic makeup, medical history, lifestyle along with cloud-based solutions to empower healthcare organizations and help them build and deploy compliant, virtual health assistants can provide users with conversational and engaging access to the most relevant and accurate healthcare services and information.

For instance, Narayana Health is looking at new avenues to optimize its operations and augment patient care with technology. One of the ongoing projects being piloted internally is to use Artificial Intelligence to decipher X-Rays to point out any irregularities from a normal X-Ray, which would help doctors save time in diagnosis.

Public Sector-. AI tools enable governments to connect with their citizens more effectively, eliminate waste, and protect sensitive information. Microsoft’s Smart cities – Intelligent technology and Citizen services tools are designed to tackle common challenges such as fee and toll management, traffic optimization, and sustainability as well as help provide citizens with easier access to consolidated government services through tracking, search, and conversational bots.

Education- Technology is creating unprecedented opportunities to connect students to the world around them and help them realize their full potential. Teachers, administrators, and technology innovators are collaborating to solve some of the most pressing challenges in education through AI. Microsoft’s AI is helping in enhancing accessibility in the classrooms and providing school-wide AI insights into student success and risk across entire schools or school districts help educators make informed decisions on how to improve student outcome

As India surges forward with its digital transformation, large and small organizations – both public and private – are waking up to the power of cloud computing, data analytics and intelligence. They are already beginning to use the transformative power of the cloud to improve their lives and businesses.

Society to transform

AI is a powerful tool for increasing access to information, education, employment, government services, as well as social and economic opportunities.

संगीतकार तरुण भल्ला ने बताया कि यह गाना हमने एक हिंदी फीचर फिल्म के लिए रिकॉर्ड किया हैं जिस के गीतकार नीतू पांडे व महिमा भारद्वाज है जिसके निर्माता टीटू है व इस फिल्म में नवोदित कलाकार अमित खान बॉलीवुड में दस्तक देने जा रहे हैं जिसका मैं कार्यकारिणी निर्माता हूं, तरुण भल्ला ने बताया कि मैं प्रारंभ से ही नए कलाकारों को मौका मौका देते आया हूं और आगे भी देता रहूंगाl

Sankalan 2019 To Support Women Empowerment

New Delhi 24th February 2019:  Janki Devi Vocational Centre has organized its annual event Sankalan on Feb 23 & 24. This year the highlight was the fashion show organized by the students for supporting women empowerment. The show was divided in two parts. First part was an Exhibition in which students of Interior and Commercial Art with Fine art participated with their competitive creativity of product and other departments like Art & Craft, Nursery and primary Teacher, Textile designing, Office Management, Computers, Travel Tourism and Print & Electronic Media displayed their work.  Beautiful use of colors and canvas by Commercial Art with fine arts students enhanced the charm of an exhibition. Interior designing students visualized the product according to demand of market and developed them with best of their knowledge.

Second part was Fashion Show in this more than 150 students in 42 groups who had designed their garment and showcasing their creativity through garment by modeling on ramp by themselves. The theme for fashion show like LGBT, Metoo, Rape culture, Digital India, pollution, Menstruation etc. selected to spread awareness among people for these sensitive issues. The student from other department raised their voice through theatre dance & drama. More than 50 students showcased their talent through these culture activities. The subject for this event is dedicated to father daughter relationship, soldiers, gender disparities and other socialism.

  

Speaking on the occasion Ms. Madhuri Verma Coordinator JDVC  said, Sankalan 2019 is  annual event by Janki Devi Vocational Centre which provides young students a platform to showcase their talent through product develepment by different department so that they can contribute their share in society and family.The cultural proformances to raise their voice against terrorism, gender inequality, rape culture to make people to be more  senstive towards these issues.we have design our event in such a way that everone will think about it and get insire to work towards these issues.

The jury includes eminent personalities from different section of the society with professional knowledge. To motivate these students, Ms. Ruby Yadav Phogat who is the president of cultural wing BJP Delhi state will grace the occasion other eminent guests Ms. Deepa Devrajan (Interior Designer), Mr. Mandeep Singh ( Prof. of Architecture and Head Of Industrial Design at the Delhi School of Planning & Architecture), Mr. Jitender Padam Jain (Curator, Sree Arts Gallery), Ms. Vijayata Bhamri (Faculty Jamia Millia Islamia), Ms. Rinkoo Shroff (Fashion Designer), Ms. Archana Puri (Principal, Apparel Training & Design Centre) and Ms. Rohini Gugnani (Fashion Designer) Aditi singh (Mrs. India 2018) ,Mr. Krishan Tewari,Mr. Rohit suriwill be there to encourage these students. The objective of this event is to provide opportunity for young girls to contribute in overall personality development in family, society & country.

Speaking on the occasion Ms. Swati Pal, Principal Janki Devi Memorial Collage said, “We live in a world where there are so many contentious issues that we confront on a daily basis. It is only right that an educational institution addresses those issues.  And when it does so in a creative manner, then it is like the icing on a cake! In their annual exhibition and fashion show, Sankalan 2019, the Janki Devi Vocational Centre has chosen themes such as Me too, LGBT, Menstruation, Widow Identity, Rape Culture, Khadi and Go green.  In foregrounding such issues, JDVC has underlined the fact that creativity and education go hand in hand, that women need to think about empowerment in terms of their sexuality and that we as a community need to work towards sustainable development.
